Aims and scope
Archivos de Neurociencias (ISSN 1028-5938) is an open access Journal that does not apply any fee for processing, editing or publication. The journal is devoted to spreading high-quality scientific research in all Neuroscience fields. It accepts several Article types such as original articles, short articles, systematic reviews, and research protocols, among others. Research is put through a double-blinded peer-review process by national and international experts. The Journal is edited and sponsored by the Instituto Nacional de Neurología y Neurocirugía Manuel Velasco Suarez in Mexico. It follows the general principles established by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE) and the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
Archivos de Neurociencias considers for publication research studies regarding clinical, experimental, translational, technological, social, and humanities perspectives of neurosciences, involving both central and peripheral nervous systems. This includes, but is not limited to, the following areas: psychiatry, neurology, neurosurgery, neurogenetics, neuropsychology, molecular biology, neurophysiology, neurochemistry, neuropharmacology, neuroimmunology, neurobiology, neuroendocrinology, veterinary neuroscience, and social neuroscience.
Manuscripts will be considered for publication if they report significant, new and carefully confirmed findings with full methodological details. Negative (non-statistically significant) results may be accepted when accompanied by power and sample size calculations.
All articles submitted for possible publication must be original and unpublished and must not be simultaneously submitted for publication in other journals or editorial bodies. All works received may be reviewed by software for plagiarism detection and content similarity comparison.
